I had never heard of this author before, (Recommended by a friend) but was completely won over. Very impressed. It's well written. Classy. Smart. Risk-taking. Filled with vivid imagery, and great characters, especially some unusual inversions of classic fantasy archetypes. Interested in more books by this author.Recommended for both new and jaded long-time fantasy readers. Intense, but probably okay for young teens.

An excellent read for young adults. The storyline has many fun adventures with surprising twists. I really enjoyed reading this novel.
